The Reverend Marilyn Mason is currently serving as Priest-in-Charge at St.Paul's Episcopal Church in Portsmouth having replaced the Reverend Paul Twelves who continues his local ministry, primarily as a supply priest at local Episcopal churches.

The Reverend Mason was born in Bristol and was educated in local schools, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education from Rhode Island College. She later earned a Master's degree in religious education from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California and a Master's degree in school administration and counseling at the University of Nevada at Los Vegas, Nevada. She has completed extensive additional education and training in the fields of education and religion. After a long career in education in education in Rhode Island, California, and Nevada teaching at grade levels from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade, she was ordained as an Episcopal Priest in the Diocese of Los Angeles. She served as a priest at several parishes in the Diocese of Los Angeles. In September 2013, she returned home to Bristol. From December 2013 to May 2014, she served as assisting priest at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Portsmouth. The Reverend Mason also recently served as Priest-in-Charge at St James Episcopal Church in Providence.
